Jackie Avalos (enizavalos@gmail.com) is a Senior at San Diego State University studying Biology. The project that I work on is DNA/RNA extractions from dry land soil. The goal is to segregate the soil community and identify methanotrophic microbes which have a symbiotic relationship with native desert plants in the area of San Diego.
