MBRS IMSD Scholar, Erin Fletcher, a Microbiology senior in the laboratory of Dr. Kelly Doran, was selected for the 2012 American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Undergraduate Research Fellowship (URF) Program. The ASM-URF assists students in their pursuit of a career in the microbiological sciences, and provides financial support for undergraduate research and/or student travel to attend the ASM General Meeting. Since Erin is a funded NIH MBRS Scholar, she has been awarded $1,000 for student travel to present at the 2013 ASM General Meeting in Denver, Colorado. We congratulate Erin on this outstanding achievement and this amazing opportunity to present research from the Kelly Doran laboratory!
