Professor Roland Wolkowicz studies viral-host interaction in order to block infection. His lab focuses on HIV-1, the cause of AIDS, and Hepatitis C Virus, the primary cause of liver cancer.

Dr. J. Luke Wood is Associate Professor of Community College Leadership and the Director of the Doctoral Program in Community College Leadership. Dr. Wood is also Co-Director of the Minority Male Community College Collaborative (M2C3), a national research and practice center that partners with community colleges to support their capacity in advancing outcomes for men of color.

Global health researcher Susan Kiene works in rural Uganda to develop and test sustainable community-based public health interventions. She is currently testing a home-based HIV testing and counseling model to reduce time to HIV care, treatment initiation, and population-level infectivity.
