2014 Undergraduate Research Symposium

Male student presenting research to seated audience.

The IMSD and MARC Programs held their annual Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) on October 3rd. Initiated by Assistant Dean Michelle Lopez in 2002, the URS has provided an intimate venue for students to showcase their work, as well as network with faculty, members of industry, and graduate students in their respective disciplines.  IMSD and MARC scholars presented their summer research from either their SDSU lab or their summer Research Experience for Undergraduates program (REU) lab. IMSD and MARC students utilized  oral presentations to showcase their research, and guest judges provided valuable feedback for the scholars regarding their research and oral communication skills. Once again, the IMSD and MARC scholars outdid themselves, ensuring a successful event for students, judges, and audience members alike.
